The Lord Knows How To Set Things Up
Weeks ago, maybe even more than a month ago, I decided I wanted quarters. A LOT of them. I notice that the more money I bring with me when i go out, the more inclination I have to spend....or even needlessly spend.
Lesser denomination...less spending. I'm not taking 20-50 dollars worth of quarters to have a shopping spree with, ya know?
So getting there has taken a couple weeks, and has not been easy. Breaking down bills nowadays is hard.
I tried doing it at self-checkout to save my embarrassment (making a tiny purchase to break a larger bill) but doing it too much breaks the machine. I kinda fear I might even get fired if I keep doing it at work. In fact, it broke Target's machine down yesterday, and ate my change, and I was mysteriously late for work because it took 8 dollars in change that I waited for them to give me.
And the bank wouldn't do a bill exchange without an account. .__.
Laundromat is the biggest helper, when I can get someone to take me.
But to come to the point.
I thought I had one intention. God had another.
Saving up my cash...limiting my spending quite a bit for a couple weeks...and saving up a LOT of quarters...ahead of the washer machine mysteriously breaking down. Several households all use one washer on one plot of land. I had two overflowing baskets worth. So at 10 a.m. ish today Grandpa kindly took me to wash my clothes. I dropped a couple socks, but it all got cleaned.
I won't even have time to dry it all. I gotta leave for work in a couple hours.
The point being though...is that God had me financially prepared well ahead of time to get my clothes washed. Pray He helps with the washer situation. In Jesus name, amen.
Last night was slow. Just Marcus and I. :) Easy shift. Today it's myself and a couple ladies, so that should be good. And tomorrow is my day off.
I love taking it all a day at a time. I worked Sunday, had a day off, and THEN had a few days in a row to work this week, and we're already at the last day. :)
I'm so accustomed to part time its hard to believe I used to work 40 hours a week at one point. I haven't done that in a couple years, I think.
This week is about 30 hours, since my boss is on vacation. But the following week I had quite a few days off, so as not to go overboard I guess, and a much needed break.
Anyway. That's the update.
- I'm slowly working on a new blurb book for the first time in a long while.
- Mild crochet break.
All glory, praise, thanks, and all things be to God on the highest forever and ever in Jesus mighty and wonderful name, amen. P.S. I lvoe you, and Jesus does too.
